En cuanto al formato es similar a una m\u00e1quina de escribir. Antes de la invenci\u00f3n de esta maquina, los textos deb\u00edan componerse de manera manual, un m\u00e9todo bastante inc\u00f3modo a la hora de armar todos los textos que un diario requiere. En ese momento los diarios eran muy demandados socialmente, pero no hab\u00eda manera de cubrir esa demanda ya que\u00a0eran caros y demoraba mucho su fabricaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.catedracosgaya.com.ar\/tipoblog\/2015\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/linotype05.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5034\" src=\"http:\/\/www.catedracosgaya.com.ar\/tipoblog\/2015\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/linotype05.jpg\" alt=\"linotype05\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.catedracosgaya.com.ar\/tipoblog\/2015\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/linotype05.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.catedracosgaya.com.ar\/tipoblog\/2015\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/linotype05-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Con la llegada de la m\u00e1quina de Ottmar Mergenthaller este proceso se agiliz\u00f3 logrando la reproducci\u00f3n de piezas editoriales en un nivel mucho mayor, ya que la m\u00e1quina permit\u00eda una velocidad de armado de los textos 6 veces mayor a las maquinas anteriores. Los diarios multiplicaron sus p\u00e1ginas, su contenido informativo, y tambi\u00e9n lograron imprimir 2 ediciones diarias. Adem\u00e1s este cambio en la manera de imprimir hizo que los diarios pudieran bajar sus costos y ser m\u00e1s accesibles al p\u00fablico.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.catedracosgaya.com.ar\/tipoblog\/2015\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/linotipia2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-5031\" src=\"http:\/\/www.catedracosgaya.com.ar\/tipoblog\/2015\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/linotipia2-251x300.jpg\" alt=\"linotipia2\" width=\"251\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.catedracosgaya.com.ar\/tipoblog\/2015\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/linotipia2-251x300.jpg 251w, https:\/\/www.catedracosgaya.com.ar\/tipoblog\/2015\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/linotipia2.jpg 318w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 251px) 100vw, 251px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Esta m\u00e1quina consist\u00eda en la utilizaci\u00f3n de moldes de letras individuales para crear de manera instant\u00e1nea, l\u00edneas de texto mediante la fundici\u00f3n del metal. Al escribir sobre el teclado, el operador pulsaba una tecla que seleccionaba un car\u00e1cter tipogr\u00e1fico determinado.
